This statistic shows the value of housing loans distributed in the United Kingdom (UK) as of July 2019, divided by the purpose of loan. Most loans were dustributed for the purpose of moving to another home, followed by remortgaging by home owners at 7.6 and 7.3 billion Britihs pounds respectively. First-time buying accounted for 5.7 billion British pounds. The smallest amount of loans were for buy-to-let house purchases at 0.8 billion British pounds.
