Lager was by far the most popular beer category in the off-trade channel in the United States in 2021. Sales of lager totaled 48.9 billion U.S. dollars in that year compared to seven billion dollars for dark beer, 983 million dollars for stout, and just 501 million dollars for non and low-alcoholic beers.
