Share of women members of the National Assembly 1958-2022
This statistic shows the share of women in the French National Assembly from 1958 to 2022. In 1958, less than 1.5 percent of the members of the National Assembly of France were women. The share of women grew in 1986 to reach nearly six percent. In 2017, there were almost 39 percent of women among all the members of the French National Assembly. After the legislative elections of 2022, they were only 37.3 percent.
