Quarterly unemployment rate in Italy 2018-2020, by gender
Between 2018 and 2020, the unemployment rate in Italy was higher for women than for men. In the fourth quarter of 2020, the unemployment rate stood at 8.5 percent for males and 10 percent for females. Italy registers one of the highest unemployment rates in the European Union. Nevertheless, both figures decreased in the last years.
