Stereotypes about women in Italy 2021

According to a recent survey, certain stereotypes about women still seem to be widespread among the Italian population. Around 42 percent of the respondents agreed that it is not possible for women to be good mothers without partly sacrificing their professional life. To stress out the point, two out of three respondents agreed that it is more difficult for a woman to have a successful career because she would have to partly sacrifice her family life. Moreover, 51 percent of respondents in Italy believed that people exaggerate gender inequalities.
