The number of visitors to the Horniman Museum in London, England, fell dramatically in 2020/2021 over the previous fiscal year due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. From March 2020 onwards, museums, galleries, and cultural institutions in the country had to close for long periods, as the government adopted emergency measures to limit the spread of the virus. As a result of the closures, the Horniman Museum recorded just 82 thousand visitors between April 2020 and March 2021, while its attendance reached nearly 759 thousand in 2019/2020.
