Number of deaths in Italy 2018, by region

In 2018, approximately 99.5 thousand people died in Lombardy, whereas the number of deaths in Lazio amounted to 57.3 thousands. Aosta Valley recorded 1.5 thousand deaths, the lowest number nationwide.
In the same year, Lombardy was the region with the highest population, whereas Aosta Valley had the lowest amount of inhabitants in the country.
