Ranking of public relation agencies in Sweden 2019, by income

Among the members of the Swedish Association of Public Relations Consultancies (PRECIS), Prime Weber Shandwick was the largest public relation (PR) agency in Sweden in 2019, based on income. The company earned nearly 234 million Swedish kronor that year. Gullers Grupp and Kreab followed, with an cinome of 215.9 million and 146.2 million kronor, respectively.

Sweden’s largest PR agencies

Sweden’s biggest PR agency Prime was founded in 1998 in Stockholm. The company operates in the areas of contextual and creative problem solving. As of 2019, the agency employed 172 people full-time. On the other hand, the second and third leading communications companies Gullers Grupp and Kreab, both also based in Stockholm, had 172 and 70 employees, respectively.

Public relation – the smallest area in Sweden’s marketing industry

According to a survey conducted in 2019, public relations accounted for the least marketing spending in Sweden, at eight percent. Traditional and digital media, such as TV and radio or direct mailing, took the largest shares in marketing expenditures that year. Another growing channel was the social networking and made up the third highest share of marketing expenditure in Sweden.
