Brazil: planned power plants' capacity additions 2020, by source

As of February 2020, planned additions to the electricity generation capacity in Brazil from photovoltaic sources amounted to nearly 7.7 gigawatts, of which around 883 megawatts would be produced by plants already under construction. At that point in time, additions from wind sources amounting to more than 2.8 gigawatts were also under construction in the country. Brazil's installed electricity capacity reached more than 170 gigawatts as of February 2020.
