Cargo traffic at Indian ports FY 2019, by type of commodity

Iron ore traffic handled at Indian ports amounted to over 83 million metric tons in the fiscal year 2018. Petroleum products had the highest traffic during the measured period, with a share of around 32 percent. About 70 percent of trade by value and more than 95 percent by volume across the south Asian country was done through maritime transport.
