Italy: Trenord CO2 emissions 2013-2017, by type This statistic shows data on the CO2 emissions of the Italian railway company Trenord from 2013 to 2017, broken down by type of emission. Trenord S.r.l. employs over 4,000 people and it is the only company in Italy that deals exclusively with public transport within a single region, i.e. Lombardy. A glance at the graph reveals that, during the period under observation, the highest amount of CO2 was released through activities not controlled by the company itself (Scope 2). In 2016, the indirect CO2 emissions from consumption of purchased electricity added up to roughly 202 thousand tons.
