Italy: perception of public display of affection in male homosexuals 2011
This statistic shows the degree of acceptance of public display of affection in male homosexual couples among the Italian population in 2011, sorted by age group. According to this study, nearly half of Italians aged between 18 and 74 thought it unacceptable for male homosexual partners to kiss in a public space. This perception, shared by 70 percent of Italians aged 65-74, was particularly strong among elderly Italians.
