Italy: attitudes towards food waste 2016 This statistic shows the main attitudes towards food waste among the adult Italian population in 2016. According to the study results, around a third of respondents (28 percent) cared about the issue and successfully tried to minimize their food waste. A similar share of respondents (27 percent) declared to care about the issue, but was not successful in changing their habits accordingly. Around one in five interviewees wasted little to no food.
