Large share mobile bundles postpaid
With more than five million mobile customers, mobile connections are an important business unit for KPN. A relatively large share of these customers has a fixed-mobile postpaid bundle. 69 percent of the fixed-mobile bundles are postpaid, which is compared to 2014 an increase of 22 percent. A similar development happened within the Benelux. In Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg, the percentages of mobile connections that were postpaid amounted to 83, 81 and 65 percent respectively in 2019.
Strong share KPN on mobile market
Examining the mobile network connections market in the Netherlands, KPN had a leadership position together with T-Mobile in the third quarter of 2020. In this quarter, KPN and T-Mobile both had a share of around 27.5 percent, However, in terms of the distribution of television subscriptions, VodafoneZiggo had the largest share with around 52.5 percent and KPN had a share of around 32.5 percent.
