The statistic shows the average cover price of books sold in independent, chain and online bookshops in Italy from 2011 to 2016. During the survey period, the average cover price of books sold in chain bookstores increased from 12.67 euro in 2011 to 13.18 euro in 2016. By contrast, the average price of books sold independent bookstores decreased from 15.88 euro in 2011 to 15.63 euro in 2016.
