Products to tackle gastrointestinal issues were the self-medication articles reaching the greatest sales value in Italy between April 2021 and March 2022. According to the data provided by New Line Ricerche di Mercato, these products generated revenue for roughly 1.2 billion euros, while the total self-medication category originated revenue for approximately 6.3 billion euros. In addition, self-medication articles for the respiratory system followed gastrointestinal ones, with revenue of 1.15 billion euros.
