Social media demographics in England in 2016

This government report provides data on social media demographics in England in April of 2016. It examines the means with which the internet is usually accessed in general and for different age groups. It continues with exploring the reasons for social media use and the actual use of different platforms. Furthermore, the report illustrates the use of social media platforms among different demographics and the use of six of the seven most used platforms by age group including Youtube and Spotify. It concludes with a look on social media use by those who regularly do sport or take part in cultural activities.
