The UK: A tradition of snowsport
Established in 1903 and with over 28,000 members on the books, The Ski Club is the largest and oldest snowsports membership organisation in the UK. The turnover of the organization has grown in the past several years, reaching nearly six million British pounds in 2019. In the same year, it registered gross profit of approximately roughly 438 thousand British pounds, down from the previous years profit of 1.1 million British pounds.
Off piste Freshtracks holidays were most popular among skiers.
In 2019, a total of 1,200 skiers choosing off piste Freshtrack holidays from Ski Club Great Britain, which was a much higher number than than for example those that chose touring, tailormade or action skiing. As of 2021, roughly 43 percent of ski resorts were located in the Alps.
