is for many the pinnacle of alcoholic beverages. One of France's
most famous products, the country exported a total of 306.1 million 75cl bottles around the world last year. No country had more thirst for the luxury product than the United Kingdom. With a total of 31.2 million bottles imported, nowhere else really came close. According to figures from Comité Champagne
, the second most common destination for the bubbly was the U.S., with 21.8 million bottles making their way across the Atlantic in the twelve month period.
