Of the 1,011 American respondents we asked for our latest Valentine's Day survey
, the vast majority, namely 868 people, were planning to present a gift to their loved ones. More men than women were set to buy pricier presents that would cost more than $30 (70.6 percent). Women were going to splash out too, but 11 percentage points fewer (59.6 percent) would spend more than $30 one a gift their beloved. Maybe you shouldn't put a price tag on love anyway!
