The gaming industry is huge, that won't come as a surprise to many. But while most people think of console and PC gaming, when it comes to revenue at least, mobile is where it's at - and according to forecasts by Newzoo, this is only due to become more the case by 2020.
In 2015, the global games market was worth an estimated $93.1 billion. The largest share of which was accounted for by mobile devices with a combined share of 34 percent for smartphones and tablets. Although the share from tablets is expected to stagnate over the coming years, the smartphone segment is predicted to contribute a massive 41 percent of all gaming revenue by 2020, leaving all other segments in its wake.
