U.S. President Trump has threatened to "devastate Turkey economically" if the 'hit the Kurds" in the wake of the U.S. troop withdrawal from Syria. This threat was swiftly dismissed by Turkey with the Foreign Minister, Nevlut Cavusoglu, responding: "You cannot get anywhere by threatening Turkey economically".
