Have you ever stopped dating somebody when you found out about their pet
? According to a recent YouGov
survey in Britain, chances are, they had a tarantula, a snake, or maybe a lizard. When asked if they would be more or less willing to date someone based on a number of different pets, these three received the largest share of the negative responses. At the other end of the scale (pun intended), the good old reliable dog is the pet most likely to boost your chances of romance. Cats are an interesting one, with the reasonably high 29 percent of people reacting positively almost cancelled out by the 20 percent with a negative view. If dogs and cats are too mainstream for you, after careful consideration of the responsibility you'd be taking on, a tortoise might be the way to go.
