Now that this summer’s earnings season is almost over, it’s time to take a look at the score cards of some of the tech industry’s big names.
For today’s chart, we had a look at revenue growth in the first six months of 2012. Surprisingly, the company that posted the highest year-over-year growth is none of the industry heavyweights. LinkedIn, the network for professionals, grew 94% compared to last year’s first half and is thus the fastest-growing company on our list by a wide margin.
Second on our list is Apple with 39% revenue growth, which is very impressive considering the size of Apple’s business. Facebook’s growth rate of 38% can be considered slightly disappointing given the company’s ambition and, more importantly, its valuation.
