Vegans: share of population in the United Kingdom 2022

Over the period presented the share of the United Kingdom’s population that declared being vegan increased from approximately three to four percentage points. Aggregating four surveys carried out during 2022, four percent of the population in the 18 to 64 age group in the United Kingdom was vegan. This constitutes an increase in vegans from the end of 2021 to the end of 2022 by one percent. One Wave aggregates four surveys. The 2021 survey aggregates survey data from three 2021 surveys. The 2022 Wave 1 aggregates the first 2022 survey and the prior three surveys.
