Share of value of remittances by companies in South Korea 2018, by reason
According to an analysis of remittances in South Korea in 2018, around 46 percent of the value of all remittances sent or received by companies were for customs import fees. Another twelve percent was for investment. Investment in particular showed a high ratio of value to number of remittances, suggesting large amounts were transferred each time.
