Opinion on cigarettes' substitutes in Italy 2019
A survey about tobacco substitutes conducted in Italy in 2019 revealed that almost one in three Italians believe that new products such as e-cigarettes and heat-not-burn tobacco represent a new trend. On the other hand, 30 percent of the respondents said that such products are a surrogate or a valid alternative to cigarettes. However, only seven percent of Italians believed that tobacco substitutes are a useful means to stop smoking.
