Cigarette smokers aged 14 years and over in Italy 2010-2022
The number of cigarette smokers aged 14 years and older in Italy decreased significantly from 2010 to 2019.
Indeed, the smokers aged 14 and older fell from almost 11.7 million in 2010 to around 9.4 million in 2019, the lowest number registered in this time period. However, in the three following years, the number of smokers increased again, reaching almost 9.9 thousand in 2022.
