Mexico: organic crops cultivated area 2018, by state

Michoacán, a coastal western state in Mexico, reported the largest area cultivated with organic crops in the country in 2018, with close to 14 thousand hectares cultivated. Chiapas, in the south, followed with approximately 12 thousand hectares. The total area cultivated with organic crops in Mexico amounted to more than 50 thousand hectares that year, while the harvested area reached some 46 thousand hectares.
