Organic farmland in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to more than eight million hectares in 2018. Farmland certified as organic in the region has been increasing in size since 2013, when it was equal to approximately 6.71 million hectares. In 2018, the country with the largest area of organic farmland in the region was Argentina, with 3.6 million hectares.
