In the season 2019/2020, the 13 Superlega volleyball teams in Italy are expected to lose over one million euros due to the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19). A forecast from March 2020, analyzing all the home matches suspended until April 3, 2020, revealed that Sir Safety Conad Perugia is the Superlega team that could record the highest loss. The matches analyzed were divided into ''normal matches'' and ''top matches'', considering which kind of teams were supposed to play. The estimated revenue loss of "normal matches'' was related to the average match revenues registered by each club as of the season 2019/2020. The estimated revenues loss of ''top matches'' related to the top revenues registered by each club in the selected season.
