Opinions on the environmental impact of tourism in Italy 2011-2022
Between 2011 and 2022, the share of Italians perceiving the environmental impact of tourism as an emergency fluctuated. In 2022, 55 percent of respondents believed that the environmental impact of tourism was a national issue, whereas 53 percent stated the same in the previous year. On the other hand, a quarter of the sample considered tourism to be a resource and never an issue in 2022.
