According to a survey conducted in May 2020, more than 79 percent of hospitals that were temporarily closed down due to the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) experienced a deficit in medical practice income in April 2020. Approximately 78 percent of hospitals that accepted patients with coronavirus also reported a loss in medical practice income.
