Production of tobacco by type in South Africa 2000-2018

In 2017/2018, the preliminary overall production of tobacco in South Africa was at 15.6 thousand metric tons, from which 11.6 thousand metric tons were flue-cured, while four thousand metric tons were air-cured. Between 2000 and 2018, the majority of South African tobacco production was flue-cured.
