Coronavirus recoveries in the African continent as of October 20, 2020, by country

More than 1.37 million people recovered from coronavirus (COVID-19) in Africa as of October 19, 2020. As the most affected country in the continent, South Africa also registered the highest number of recoveries, roughly 639.5 thousand, or 46.5 percent of the total. In Morocco, 148,838 patients recovered from the disease. The third country with more recoveries in the continent was Egypt, with 98,413.

It is worth noting that, as of the same date, the cases of coronavirus in Africa amounted to more than 1.67 million, while the fatalities due to the disease reached 40,289. By the period, there were 257,948 active cases in the continent.
