Italy: change in consumer goods consumption volume 2020-2021

In 2020, the consumption volume of food experienced a significant increase compared to the previous year. More specifically, fresh products like fruit and vegetables recorded an increase by 7.7 percent and by 2.3 percent in the first and second half of 2020, respectively. Moreover, products for household care grew by 11.5 percent in the first half of 2020. Afterwards, this figure was projected to decrease during the second half of the year and in 2021.
