Number of box office films pre and post-lockdown at cinemas in the UK 2020
Post-lockdown, the highest number of films shown at the box office was during the 14th to 16th of August 2020 with 269 films. During the first weekend of September 2020, 198 films were screened. This was 104 films less than during the same weekend a year prior, where a total of 302 films were shown at the box office.
