According to data based on the results from the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) in 2018, while 86 percent of students living in rural areas in Chile had access to internet at home, this was true for less than 30 percent of pupils in rural areas in Mexico. In Colombia and Peru, this figure also stood below 40 percent.
