Net sales growth of EABL in Kenya 2018-2020
The net sales growth of alcoholic beverages by East African Breweries Limited (EABL) in Kenya decreased by 14 percent in 2020. The drop reflected the impacts of the partial lockdown implemented from March to June to contain the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country. A decrease in beer sales in Kenya was the main factor disrupting the total sales, as the spirits sales remained stable. EABL, a subsidiary of the global alcohol producer Diageo, is the main commercial brewery in Kenya.
