Olive production in North Africa 2021, by country
Morocco was the leading olive producer in North Africa in 2021, with a production of 1.6 million metric tons. Egypt and Algeria followed, producing around one million and 700 thousand metric tons of olives in the same year, respectively. In addition, Tunisia is also the main producer of olive oil in the region.
