Preferred sales channel for sake purchases in Japan 2021
According to a survey conducted in 2021 in Japan, the most popular sales channel of rice wine (sake) were liquor retail stores, with more than 40 percent of respondents purchasing sake at brick-and-mortar stores specializing in alcoholic beverages. The online counterpart followed in second place as close to 15 percent purchased the clear liquor most frequently at online liquor stores.
