Cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccination doses in East Africa 2022, by country
As of June 1, 2022, Ethiopia had administered nearly 29.4 million coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination doses, the highest number in East Africa. Rwanda and Kenya were so far the second and third most vaccinated countries in the region, with approximately 21.9 million and 18.2 million doses distributed, respectively. Overall, more than 1.34 million people were infected by the virus in the region since the beginning of the pandemic.
