Meanings of sin among Catholics in France 2020, according to their religious practice
In 2020, when surveyed on the eve of the Assumption, more than a third of regularly practicing Catholics considered sin to be something contrary to religion, going against the commandments and the law of God. Another 37 percent gave an answer that was not among the propositions, or did not give one. The most common response among Catholics who practiced only occasionally was that sin was synonymous with evil.
