Oil refinery throughput in Venezuela 2009-2022
Venezuela's oil refinery throughput has been on a mostly downward trend over the past decade. In 2022, the South American country reported a throughput of 184 thousand barrels per day, a year-over-year growth of roughly nine percent. Nevertheless, in comparison to 2014, this figure dropped by nearly 80 percent. Meanwhile, in this period, Venezuela's refining capacity has remained stable at roughly 1,300 thousand barrels per day.
