Petroleum refining capacity in Venezuela 2021, by location
In 2021, Venezuela had a crude oil refining capacity of approximately 2.3 million barrels per day. Amuay was the largest refinery unit in the South American country, with a capacity of 645 thousand barrels per day. It was followed by Cardón, with a capacity of 310 thousand daily barrels. Both units, along with Bajo Grande, are part of the Paraguaná Refinery Complex, one of the world's largest refinery complexes.
