Intentions of profiled migrants in Tunisia 2021
Most immigrants in Tunisia were seeking asylum as of April 2021. According to the demographic profile of the migrants released by humanitarian actors in the country, 84 percent of them had the intention to seek asylum. On the other hand, 12 percent intended to remain in Tunisia without seeking asylum. One of the identified reasons for this is that these people usually plan to earn some money in the country before migrating further.
