Daily options turnover value in the U.S. 2023, by exchange

Between January 2021 and January 2023, the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) was consistently the largest market for options traded in the United States, accounting for almost 40 percent of the average daily exchange traded options during January 2023. They were followed by the Nasdaq with a market share of just over 32 percent, the Boston Options Exchange (BOX) with around 15.5 percent, then the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) with 7.93 percent. In total, the average daily turnover of exchange traded options in January 2023 was approximately 28.3 billion U.S. dollars.
