Daily options turnover value in the U.S. 2023, by exchange
Between January 2021 and March 2023, the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) was consistently the largest market for options traded in the United States, accounting for almost 62 percent of the average daily exchange traded options during March 2023. They were followed by the Nasdaq with a market share of just over 17 percent, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) with around ten percent, then the Miami International Securities Exchange (MIAX) with 6.9 percent. In total, the average daily turnover of exchange traded options in January 2023 was approximately 20.77 billion U.S. dollars.
