Projected current account balance as a share of GDP in North Africa 2021, by country
The current account balance in North Africa was projected at minus 4.9 percent of the region’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as of 2021. The indicator differed significantly across countries. In Mauritania, the account balance accounted for minus 14.3 percent of the GDP, while it stood at over 31 percent of the GDP in Libya.
