According to a survey among marketeers, advertising expenditure on online channels increased the most in Finland due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. In contrast, events, outdoor advertising, and print experienced major losses as of April 2020. While advertising spending on e-commerce, e-mail, social media, and content marketing grew by 30 to 40 percent, events and outdoor advertising decreased by 50 percent or more.
