ByteDance: annual revenue 2019-2021
In 2021, Beijing-based ByteDance reported approximately 58 billion U.S. dollars in revenues, up by almost 69 percent compared to the previous year. ByteDance, which was founded in 2012, has experienced incredible growth in recent years, thanks especially to its social video apps Douyin and TikTok. Between 2019 and 2020, the company reported a staggering 100% percent increase in revenues despite the geopolitical difficulties experienced with the TikTok ban in India and the U.S. scrutiny. ByteDance, also the owner of popular Chinese news and content app Toutiao, might be planning to go public in 2022.
